CORE SAFETY RULES

  • Hydrate: 16–20 oz water 30 min before, then 6–8 oz every 20 min during.
  • Footwear: Broken-in trail or hiking shoes/boots. Never break in new footwear under load.
  • Form check: Pack rides high and tight on shoulders. Plate or weight stays close to upper back.
  • Stop immediately if: chest pain, severe shortness of breath, dizziness, sharp joint pain, numbness, or unusual heart rhythm.
  • Recovery: 48 hours between heavy ruck sessions for beginners.
